ISEFT exists to promote EFT practice, theory, training, and research.
Our three main goals are to:
1. Create international opportunities for community and connections for EFT practitioners and scholars.
2. Provide centralized platforms for sharing knowledge and information about Emotion Focused Therapy.
3. Provide standards, guidelines, and mentorship for the training of professionals and the ongoing development of the EFT approach.
We welcome to this space professionals, lay people, psychotherapy researchers and scholars alike and hope to provide support and discussion to stimulate the sharing of new ideas. We welcome your curiosity, questions, experience, energy and wisdom. We hope you will make use of the variety of resources contained in these pages, and to offer your own contributions to developing EFT.
Emotion Focused Therapy was initially developed by Dr. Leslie Greenberg, in collaboration with Dr. Robert Elliott and Dr. Laura Rice for individual therapy, and Dr. Sue Johnson for couples therapy.
